Amber Pierson
Amber is captivated by the Desert Southwest. The light, colors and cultural history of this region are the inspiration for her paintings. The rhythm of the culture or the stillness of a landscape will draw you into the heart of the Sonoran Desert, where the light dances and time slows down.
She works in various mediums but has become totally enchanted with the colored pencil. As a newer medium, it provides her with the opportunity to fulfill her love of both drawing and painting at the same time. She works layer upon layer to create value and color. Prismacolors, Polychromos and, or Luminance pencils, flow like paint when combined with mediums such as Turpenoid and the Icarus Board.
Amber's true aim is to make something others will enjoy, She just loves to draw and paint. It is her way of interpreting the world around her, because, doing so just fills her with pure happiness!
